Course Information

  • Course: CSC 341 (Spring 2024), Grinnell College, Grinnell Iowa.
  • Instructor: Alex Hubers.
    • Background. I am a visiting lecturer from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where I am doctoral caddidate in the department of Computer Science at the University of Iowa. My research interests lie in programming language theory, which is adjacent to and sometimes overlaps with the theory of computation. Before my matriculation at UI, I worked as the Vice-President of Engineering at a startup called getmyboat.com. I am happy to offer advice and help to students interested in pursuing careers in both academia and industry after graduation.
    • Schedule. I am only guaranteed to be on campus, in person, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. With some exceptions, I will be home on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I will let students know if I am on campus and holding additional in-person office hours on M/W/F.

        • 1:00–2:15 PM, Thursdays.
